Taylor Ogden Thomas

Speaker Info
Taylor Ogden Thomas has been with Church of the Resurrection for thirteen of her more than seventeen years in youth ministry, serving as Middle School Minister for twelve years before transitioning to her current role as Resurrection’s Youth Minister of Care and Development. Taylor oversees care systems for the thousands of students in our rezlife Student Ministries, and she credits time spent with students and families during crisis or joy as being the most rewarding. Taylor loves fostering leadership, and she co-created Leader Collective, a mentorship program aimed at helping students find their passion and calling to become better leaders inside and outside the walls of the church. This passion extends beyond her interaction with students, as she mentors younger youth minsters so they can better care for their respective ministries. Taylor also shares her love for parenthood by working to unite parents and students as a collective part of youth ministry. In addition to serving as a Resurrection Building Better Moms leader, she regularly speaks to and connects with the parents of her students.

Taylor not only speaks to students and parents in large group and small group settings on a weekly basis, she was a keynote speaker at the 2015 National United Methodist Youth Conference, speaking to a crowd of over 5,000 students, youth leaders and pastors. She has also spoken twice at the Missouri Annual Conference to crowds of more than 2,000 during their Wow Youth event. Taylor has three little boys – Camp, Crew, and Cutler – and she loves laughing, genuine relationships, and going to the movies.
